The wood soffit and entry adds so much warmth to the new eco modern house we built as a vacation rental in Portland. The patio tucked between the two buildings creates a sweet space for gatherings and meals.

In this space once stood an old dilapidated carport, that had cracked uneven concrete floor and was never used. We added a cedar deck & fence, painted the house, while popping the carport ceiling, added skylights, and a fully opening window with wooded bar top for ease of connection with the kitchen.

Attention to detail and seeing how lines come together is essential to creating a well-crafted area. This built in has eased corners to match other details in this mid century modern kitchen.

Using cedar wood we gave the fence a modern twist by adding a unique spacing pattern to the wood fence.

We love finding ways to reuse old building materials, in this exterior project the old decking became showcase boxes that mounted onto the garage and were also used as a walking plank to reach the back patio.

A sanctuary was created in a NE Portland garage. The homeowners turned part of their garage into a wood fired sauna. The cedar lined walls and lighting create a wonderfully relaxing zen environment.

A built in dining table was the solution for this small Portland kitchen. The homeowners wanted a vintage feel so we used bead board on the backs of the bench with reclaimed wood as the table and seats.

Maximizing kitchen storage is essential, so we often create built in shelving areas. It also provides an area to show off the mid century modern collectables this home- owner adores.

The railing spacing, built in seating, and attention to detail with scale and deck placement turn this back yard into a perfect entertaining area. With some design time we were able to give this area an artistic flair.
